The school teachers work every day with hundreds of thousands of children and youth, having the unique opportunity to promote in them values related to the conservation of nature.

Considering the great potential for social transformation that schools have, Pronatura Noroeste has designed strategies and education materials to support the transcendental work of teachers. These materials consider, together with theoretical aspects, activities for the teacher to practice each topic with their students.

As part of this program, in 2013 we managed to formalize those collaboration through a series of training courses certified by the education authority, focused on the marine environment and the fishing activity, the prevention of plastic pollution, and the conservation of the brunt and the wetlands were it lives, between others. Validated by the Secretary of Public Education (SEP) in each state, these courses are offered to those teachers interested in getting certified in those topics, adding to the score of their personal teaching careers.

In a progressive way, our goal is to cover with this courses most of the schools in northwest Mexico.
