Strategic focuses

  1. Design, production, and distribution of educational materials.
  2. Train teachers and community leaders so priority topics for conservation are incorporated in educational programs of schools located in strategic areas.
  3. Implement campaigns about issues that reinforce the work conducted in the classrooms.

Work progress

We trained teachers in elementary schools about three areas:

• Marine conservation and sustainable fishing to primary school teachers surrounding the fisheries in which we work.

• Shorebird and shorebird habitat conservation to teachers at schools adjacent to the wetlands used by this group of birds during their migration through Northwest Mexico.

• Prevention of marine environment pollution by plastics, through the “For a plastic free sea” campaign.
