Work progress

  • We acquired 130 hectares in Bahia Magdalena, Baja California Sur, which will be established as conservation areas to perpetuity.
  • We signed a conservation agreement with the Ejido Gomez Farias in Chihuahua, which will guarantee the protection of 900 hectares in Laguna Babicora, a wetland of great importance for migratory and resident waterbirds.
  • We reforested 395 hectares in priority ecosystems in the states of Sonora, Sinaloa, Nayarit and Baja California Sur, through the temporary hiring and training of 57 people from the communities surrounding the work sites.
  • We implemented activities for habitat management and wildlife monitoring in 84 priority site private reserves in the Northwest, such as Bahia de los Angeles (Baja California), Laguna San Ignacio and  Bahia Magdalena (Baja California Sur), Ensenada de Pabellones and Bahia de Santa Maria (Sinaloa), and Cuyutlan (Nayarit).
